Welcome to my limited edition pinhole photography series, capturing the quiet, timeless atmosphere of Whangamatā’s beaches. Created using a homemade cardboard-box camera and traditionally developed in the darkroom, the resulting images embody an uncanny stillness. The long exposures - typically 6-10 seconds - purify the scene, blurring movement and removing extraneous detail to focus solely on a central, often solitary, young female subject.

This technique effectively freezes time while simultaneously revealing its passage, transforming the photograph into a memory, a fleeting moment, or a dreamlike state. The resulting mystery evokes a spectrum of emotions, lending the work its unique, haunting beauty.

My cyanotypes are an extension of my analogue pinhole photography practice. Each image begins as an original photograph created with my handmade pinhole camera, before being transformed into a transparent negative and exposed onto light-sensitive paper.

Each cyanotype is individually exposed, hand-washed and finished by hand, creating a unique photographic artwork with the distinctive deep blue tones that make the cyanotype process so beautiful.

To honour the slow, hands-on nature of this process, selected cyanotype works are now available as limited editions of just 15. Once an edition is sold out, it will not be reproduced.

Available in A5 and A4, each print is signed and numbered as part of its edition.
